I think Isabella likes being at her dad’s house more. Based on what I read, chapter 17 page 61, Isabella said that she doesn’t feel like she has a home anymore. She also seems more happier at her dad’s place.

I think Isabella thinks it is her fault that her parents got a divorce. Based on what I read, in chapter 4 page 15, Isabella said she messed up a lot. What she meant was things like Kool-Aid, cupcakes, and losing a necklace. She thought they were mad at her. She also thought her parents divorced because her mom was white and her dad was black. Those are all the reasons why I think Isabella thinks it is her fault that her parents got a divorce.
I gave it 5 stars because it is a comic book is based on true events. Another reason why is because the book kind of relates with people. I think it relates with people because Omar was so impatient to go to America and us children are so impatient when we have to wait to get something. Going to america is a huge thing though!
My favorite character is Omar. Omar is a great big brother. He is also very mature and smart.
My favorite moment was when their goat gave birth. It was my favorite moment because it would mean that they would get more milk.
I think Omar kind of lost hope of going to America before he finally went to America. Based on what I read, page 162, Omar started thinking he was going to America. Omar was impatient and got angry that it was taking forever to go to America. Four years later, Omar was in high school. He finally went to America!
